Note: J-KIT (Junction-Kit) – brake set comes with a brake lever that is not connected to the hose, which makes it easier to mount the brake to the frame, make it easier to route and shorten the hose to the appropriate length on your bike.

● Reach Adjustment – ​​The brake lever is equipped with a reach adjustment mechanism. The distance from the handlebar to the lever can be adjusted to suit any hand size, riding style and individual rider preference.

● SERVOWAVE ACTION – When you pull the SERVOWAVE brake lever, the initial stroke of the brake pads is fast, so little lever movement is required to make contact with the rotor. The force multiplier then increases rapidly at the point of contact between the pads and rotor, so more lever travel is used to apply more braking power with improved control.

● I-SPEC EV – Creates a clean, action-optimized cockpit that provides greater focus and flexibility for a wider range of riders.

With its wider adjustment range, the I-SPEC EV handlebars can be adjusted to the optimal position to suit a wider range of riding styles (ENDURO/XC/etc.), rider preferences and rider anatomy (hand and arm alignment).

The I-SPEC EV increases the stiffness of the brake lever by moving the position of the brake caliper inward to create an additional point of contact between the handlebars and the levers. This added stiffness dramatically increases bike control and braking while maintaining space between the clamps and fulcrum points for handlebar accessories.

● ONE-WAY VENT – Developed to quickly and easily prevent air from entering our hydraulic system. We routed the oil through the system to prevent air bubbles from being trapped in the system.
One-way oil routing plus a mineral oil funnel tool provide a simple and clean bleed system.

● ICE TECHNOLOGIES - Fading - a temporary and sudden reduction in braking power caused by excessive heat in the system due to continuous braking, under heavy load or at high speeds, which can occur on the disc brake rotor and brake pad when braking on a long downhill, for example, adversely affects braking performance. SHIMANO adopted ICE TECHNOLOGIES disc brake rotor and ICE TECHNOLOGIES pad to realize cooling technology for superior performance. The braking surface of the disc brake rotor, which has a three-layer sandwich structure of stainless steel, aluminum and stainless steel, provides better performance.
